Warrior Trading Review 2020 – Script

In July 2018, I started the Warrior Pro course with Warrior Trading. The Warrior Pro course contained…

  • Day Trading Large Caps; advanced technical analysis, large-cap risk management/ trade management etc.
  • Options Course
  • Swing Trading Course
  • Futures Course
  • Cryptocurrency Course.

Live Mentor Sessions (5 per week)

The five different mentor sessions are; beginner, intermediate and advanced. As well as Mindful Monday’s mentor session and FOMO Friday’s (fear of missing out) mentor session. The FOMO Fridays mentor session is the trading psychology mentor session. The live mentor sessions allow you to interact with students in the chatroom as well as ask teachers for support. In addition, all mentor sessions are recorded and can be accessed from the course library.

Trading Simulator

Which allows you to practice trading in a risk-free environment.

Trading Chatrooms

There are two trading chatrooms which are the Small Caps chatroom , run by Ross, and the Large Cap chatroom which is run by Mike. Alongside Mike and Ross, there are also mentors and previous Warrior Trading students to help manage the chatrooms. Which provides a pleasant digital trading community.

Trade-Ideas Scanner Settings

There are Trade Ideas scanners streamed in the Small Caps chatroom, to allow you access to the stock scanners used by Ross. In addition, you receive downloadable files containing the Trade Ideas scanner settings which are used by Ross for finding stocks to trade. You can then use these if you decide to subscribe to Trade-Ideas.

Why Did I Join Warrior Trading?

Let’s rewind back a few years!

Before I joined as a Warrior Trading student, I was working for myself as a Webdesigner and social media marketer. I had been studying the different ways that you can make money online, such as blogging and affiliate marketing. The concept of making more money or making money passively was very appealing to me, rather than actively working all the time.

It was then that I chatted to my father in law, who advised me to check out Ross Cameron and Warrior Trading. At that time, I had no idea what trading was other than it must be difficult because that it the general preprogrammed idea of trading.

Following our conversation, I researched Warrior Trading and watched a few YouTube videos. Although I watched other teachers such as Tim Sykes, I preferred the way that Ross communicated and I was immediately drawn to learn more from him. As a result, I decided to join a webinar which was run by Ross. Whereby he shared his top 3 tips for day trading and gave an insight into his teaching style.

At the end of the webinar, I was certain that I wanted to join Warrior Trading, but there was still the issue with the funds. Whilst I considered my options, I read Ross’s book How to Day Trade which was a great read!

Following the webinar, I received some money which was left to me from my grandparents who had passed away. I felt that this was a true gift that I could use to invest in my education and so I enrolled in the Warrior Pro course with Warrior Trading.

Finally, another important reason why I chose to join Warrior Trading was that I wanted to learn from somebody credible and I wanted a structured course. Whereby I didn’t need to waste my energy and time trying to find reliable information online, but instead I could focus on learning how to trade in a safe risk-free environment.

Warrior Trading Review: Pro Course Positives

There were quite a lot of positives for me as I did thoroughly enjoy my experience with Warrior Trading. Here are some positives about the Warrior reading Pro Course:

Extensive Course Lessons

Although there were many different courses included with the Warrior Pro, most people, myself included usually stick to the Small Caps course. Which shares the strategies used by Ross. However, there are many courses included with the Warrior Pro and they are all excellent quality.

The courses include a variety of mediums, mainly video lessons where you can see a smaller video screen of the teacher. There are also downloadable PDFs for each lesson containing the lesson content. In addition, at the end of each lesson subject, there is a quiz to test the knowledge learnt.

However, there weren’t any live lessons unless you joined a live mentor session. Usually, if I had any questions about course content, I would email for support which worked fine. Although as I am based in the UK, I generally didn’t receive a reply from the Warrior Trading team until the following day.

Variety of Courses

As mentioned above, there are many different trading topics included with the Warrior Pro course and I found this to be valuable. I enjoyed learning the different areas of trading and I found that they complemented each other whereby they built on previous trading knowledge. I especially enjoyed the Swing trading course which focused more on long term investments rather than day trading. However, this was an interesting shorter course to study and learn more about.

Mentor Sessions

As I explained above, there were a range of live mentor sessions. However as I am based in the UK, the timing of the mentor sessions didn’t always fit in with my routine, and so I preferred to watch the recordings of mentor sessions. Nevertheless, I really enjoyed the mentor sessions. I found that they featured information that wasn’t necessarily in the course. It was also interesting to learn from different traders and they were a fun experience.

I especially enjoyed the trading psychology sessions as it is such an important topic and the teachers were great.

Free Access to Trade Ideas Scanners

Another benefit for me was that Ross streamed his Trade Ideas scanners into the small caps chatroom. Which meant that I could use the software for free for the full year that I had access to the Warrior Pro course.

Warrior Trading Team

Finally, I found the Warrior Trading team to be very supportive and I enjoyed knowing that I had that support when I needed it.

Warrior Trading Review: Pro Course Negatives

Unreliable Software (now fixed)

When I first started the Warrior Pro course, they were using older software for the trading simulator. There were regular issues with this software which is why I am sharing this as a negative experience. However, the Warrior Trading team invested in new software which has since performed without any issues.

Busy Chatroom

I usually went into the small-cap chatroom which quite often had thousands of people in the chatroom, as most people wanted to do what Ross was doing. This made the chatroom quite busy and it was difficult to communicate through the noise. Therefore if I had any questions, I emailed the Warrior Trading team for answers.

Not As Accomadating for UK Traders

Although Warrior Trading accommodate UK traders and I certainly learnt well from them, I found that naturally the material was mainly designed for US traders.

I found it tricky to find a broker that would allow me to trade the US stock market with an account size under the PDT rule (Pattern Day Trader), which was an account size under $25,000, especially as I am a non-US resident.

The broker that I found that suited me was TradeZero.

Limited Time Access

Another negative aspect for me was the limited time that there was to access the course. As I did the year-long course, I had 1 year to access and carry out the Warrior Pro course. After that period of time, I would have to pay extra to continue studying the course.

Although Warrior Trading have a 90-day Warrior Pro course, I feel that this simply is not enough time to learn how to trade and go through all areas of the course.

In my opinion, it is a lot of money to spend on a course that will expire completely in 1 year.

Warrior Trading Review: How Much Is The Course?

According to their website and as of today’s date, here are the costs:

Warrior Trading Pro Course (90 days): $4297

Warrior Trading Pro Course (1 year): $5997

When I joined the course, I joined from a webinar where I received a discounted offer for the Warrior Pro course ( 1 year). Generally, if there is a holiday coming up, look out for a promotional offer.

Is The Warrior Pro Course Worth It?

Well, I certainly don’t regret taking the course. I really enjoyed my experience with Warrior Trading.

I understand that the course is a lot of money, but I believe this is an investment in your education and at a fraction of the price of most University courses. Also, the knowledge gained from learning how to day trade can be, limitless.

However, it is essential to dedicate time and energy to studying as time goes very quickly.

How Has It Improved My Life?

I feel that I have a solid grounding in trading and I have learnt a lot with Warrior Trading. I have also gained valuable personal skills including:

  • Patience
  • Emotional Intelligence
  • Confidence
  • Self Motivation
  • Discipline
  • Determination

Warrior Trading Review 2020: Conclusion

The Warrior Trading Pro course has certainly given me a head start in trading. It included all of the major topics and lessons to learn how to day trade, whether you’re trading stocks, options, futures or cryptocurrencies. But I certainly don’t feel that undertaking this course is the only path to becoming a successful trader.

If you have the spare money then it is a great experience. But if money is tight, there are other ways to learn how to trade. Plus don’t forget that you will need money for your trading account when you are ready to trade live.

Have I made the course fees back yet?

The simple answer is, not yet, but I am certainly not far off. As we all know, trading is a marathon, not a sprint.

I hope that this Warrior Trading review has been a valuable insight and has answered your questions! Here are some further trading resources…
