<p>Although this is classed as a money myth, for a lot of people this is actually true. Whereby people fight over money and families can be broken up over money. These money related dramas can cause trauma for a lot of people, which can create fear over money. </p>
<p>E.g. if you purchase new items such as a car or a house, you may experience fear. This could be a fear of spending money and making a mistake. </p>

<h5>2- Money in the bank doesn&#8217;t make you rich</h5>
<p>This may be a surprising statement for some. <em>How can a million in your bank not make you feel secure?</em></p>
<p>Following these concepts shared from zen millionaire Ken Honda; if you feel secure that money flows in at the right time. If you have trust that money flows to you, then you will feel secure. Regardless of your bank account.</p>

<p>Money wounds may simply be a money related experience that you had when you were younger which was not pleasant.</p>
<p>E.g. You were not allowed something that you wanted, because it was too expensive. Or perhaps you went without basic resources because money was scarce growing up.</p>
<p>These experiences built, maybe on a subconscious level, blocks and restrictions which act as obstacles in your mind, which stop you from achieving money. From acknowledging our money wounds, and practising acceptance and maybe even some forgiveness, we can remove obstacles that stop us from achieving money and wealth.</p>
<p>Remember it&#8217;s all about the mindset! Switch your mindset about money and trust that money is available when needed.</p>

<p><strong>Gratitude</strong> is very powerful and this technique utilises gratitude. </p>
<p>E.g. Thank your money when it comes to you, and thank your money when it leaves you. You can send out your blessings when money leaves you and trust it will return to you and bring its friends! </p>
<p>From appreciating your money, you will attract new financial opportunities. It can be helpful to view money as a circular energy. Whereby acknowledging that money is flowing all around and that it is accessible when you need it. </p>

<div>Take this time to get into a comfortable space and try to remove any distractions.  Remember to put your phone onto silent and create a space where you&#8217;re going to be undisturbed for a short while.</div>

<div> Sit back on your favourite chair and get comfortable. </div>
<div> </div>
<div>Take a deep breath in through the nose lift your shoulders up to your ears roll your shoulders back allowing your chest open and allowing your shoulders to relax and rest comfortably.  Take a deep breath in through the nose and out through the mouth.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Allow your eyes to gently close.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Focusing on the breath breathing in and out through the nose. Focus on the sensation of breathing, the rise of your chest as you breathe in, the flow of your breath.  If any thoughts start to arise simply become aware of these thoughts and allow them to pass without getting involved in the thoughts.</div>

<h4>Body Scan</h4>
<div> </div>
<div>We&#8217;re going to do a body scan. </div>
<div> </div>
<div>Bring your awareness to your toes,  and allow your toes to relax. </div>
<div> </div>
<div>Allow that awareness to rise through your feet allowing your feet to relax.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Moving up your lower legs to your knees feeling your muscles relax.  Continuing moving up your legs allowing each muscle in your legs to relax.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Remembering to breathe as you bring our awareness up through our stomach and our lower back.  If you feel any pain or tension, <strong>breathe</strong> into that area and allow your muscles to become heavy and relax.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Allow your awareness to rise to your shoulders. Moving down your right arm feeling your muscles relax your forearm your wrist,  allowing your hand to relax and all of your fingers and thumb.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Moving your awareness down your left arm, your forearm and wrist.  Allow your left hand to relax all of your fingers and thumb.</div>
<div>Take a deep breath and enjoy this sensation of deep relaxation.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Moving up through your neck breathe in and allow your muscles to relax.  Allow the muscles of your face to soften. bring your awareness to the top of your head take a deep breath.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>By now you should be feeling heavy and relaxed. Allow the breath to continue with its natural rhythm. </div>
<div> </div>
<div>Now bring your awareness to the sounds in your environment.  Not focusing on one particular sound but becoming aware of what is going on around you.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Remembering to let any thoughts pass without taking your attention. </div>
<div> </div>
<div>Remember to use your breath to help you to stay fully present in the moment.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Just removing the focus from the sounds and become aware of your body.  Take a few deep breaths. Bring your awareness down your body from your head to your shoulders stomach legs and feet. </div>
<div> </div>
<div>Become aware of the parts of your body that are pressing against your seat. Feel the weight of your body pressing down and start to wiggle your toes. </div>
<div> </div>
<div>Take another breath and when you are ready, start to open your eyes.</div>

<h3>Mindfulness Meditation A Useful Practice</h3>
<div> </div>
<div> I don&#8217;t know about you but I feel a lot more relaxed and a lot more aware of myself, my body, my feelings and the environment. That is essentially the practice of mindful meditation.  It helps you to centre yourself and bring awareness to the present moment. It is also the ability to carry that feeling with you throughout your day.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>If you feel like you struggle with any particular experiences or stressful situations or if you have any parts of your life if where you are dealing with performance mindfulness can help you.  As I said previously I day trade which certainly feels like a performance. so I take about 10 or 15 minutes before my working day to carry out a mindfulness meditation.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>I feel like a mindfulness meditation helps me to get into a centred space so that I am at the best of my ability to carry on with my day.</div>

<h2>Reprogram Your Brain With Visualisation To Achieve Your Goals</h2>

<h3>What Is Visualisation?</h3>
<p>Visualisation is an extraordinarily powerful skill, also known as the law of attraction or <strong>manifesting</strong>. Our brains have a unique system called the &#8216;<strong>Reticular Activating System</strong>&#8216;. It consists of a network of neurons which act as a filter system.</p>
<p>The filter system allows certain information into your brain and locks out other information. The filter is <strong>programmed by you</strong> and from other people in your life or from your past.</p>
<p>E.g. If you constantly feel like your unlovable, the Reticular Activating filter system is going to point out evidence to confirm that negative belief that you have.</p>
<p>This means that out of all of the information that we take in from our daily lives, your brain will focus on processing input <strong>confirming</strong> those beliefs. Why? because you programmed it to.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h4>Confirmation Bias</h4>
<p>&#8216;<strong>Confirmation bias</strong>&#8216; is where you love to read things that you agree with and this is because it confirms your filter.</p>
<p>We have this filter because if your brain let in everything, it would be incredibly overwhelmed. Imagine taking in every little bit of detail from a Facebook home page, or you go to a shopping centre and your brain takes in every detail. Your brain would meltdown because there is simply too much to take in.</p>
<p>The system protects your brain by filtering in information and only letting in information that you agree with.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h3>How Does Visualisation Work?</h3>
<p>You can <strong>reprogram</strong> your <strong>filter </strong>using <strong>visualisation</strong>, to filter into your brain what you want to manifest.</p>
<p>From doing this, your brain will take in information based on what you want from your visualisation. E.g. opportunity, evidence etc.</p>
<p>You can carry out a<strong> simple short visualisation exercise </strong>to manifest and achieve your goals.</p>
<p>Firstly, take the goals that you wrote down at the beginning of this post.</p>
<p>If your goal is to improve yourself, visualise what your life looks like and how you&#8217;re going to feel about yourself when your self worth has improved.</p>

<h4>Two Easy Steps For Visualisation</h4>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>1- Close your eyes. In your mind have a specific picture of what it looks like in your life when you are <strong>achieving</strong> your <strong>goals</strong>. E.g. when your self worth has improved,  see yourself speaking up at work,  leaving bad relationships, see yourself going to the gym etc.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>2- When you visualise the image of that, consciously think of the positive <strong>emotions</strong> that you will feel. E.g. proud, happy, greatful that you made this change in your life.</p>

<h3>What Happens From Visualisation</h3>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>By visualising, you are training your brain to have a totally different filter.</p>
<p>Your brain does not know the difference between real memories of what actually happened to you, and what you imagine is happening to you.</p>
<p>Your brain will experience you visualising. E.g. going to the gym. It then encodes it as a real memory. This changes the filter system. Research shows that <em>the more you visualise things, the <strong>greater</strong> your confidence is going to be.</em></p>
<p>Studies have proved that simply visualising yourself doing things consistently. E.g. 30 seconds every day, that you actually develop the skill.</p>
<p>Therefore visualisation actually helps you to <strong>improve</strong> your skills, just as if you were actually doing them!</p>
